Team Announcement!
Team South Africa XC1 rider Louwrens Mahoney, has made the move from the KTM 300 XC 2-stroke over to the big KTM 450 XC-F 4-stroker at the midpoint of the 2008 GNCC series. We are hoping this change from 2-stroke to 4-stroke is going to help Louwrens with the change of riding styles. Louwrens nick name is FLATOUT! which is basically from the riding style he has from riding the 2-stroke bikes. The GNCC Series has really done some changing up this past year and a half because of the 4 stroker coming into the picture! Everone that has had to make the switch over has had to basically change their riding styles. Some have adapted very well and some wish they were still on the 2 strokes.
Team South Africa rider, Kenneth Gilbert made the change back earlier in the year from 2 to 4-stroke, which has proven to be a very good decision on his part. Kenneth is currently leading the Open A class aboard a Kawi KX450-F.
The speeds are still about the same, but I feel the riders are more in control and more relaxed because of the performance of the bikes!
